On the menu last night was one of our favorites, turkey meatballs! These are a staple in our home, not only because it is an easy recipe, but it also makes enough meatballs to last us half a week!
The following ingredients are needed for turkey meatballs:
- 1-1.5 lbs thawed ground turkey
- 3/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup chopped carrots (optional)
- Add seasoning to taste
You can use any seasonings that you like – we tend to use black pepper, garlic, and Italian.
First, preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Them, you need to combine all of the ingredients into a bowl. I find that it is easiest to stick your hands in and mix it that way! Once it is all mixed together, you can start forming the meatballs. I use a cookie scoop so that they all come out around the same size. I have found that it is an easier clean up if you lay parchment paper on top of the pan as well. We typically get 30-35 meatballs per batch.
After you get them all laid out, throw them in the over for about 20 minutes or until brown and fully cooked on the inside. While the meatballs are baking, I prepare some noodles to put with them! After the meatballs are done cooking, throw them on top of the noodles and add sauce 🙂
