Easy Baked Chicken Nuggets

Hope everyone had a great weekend! The weather here was absolutely gorgeous, so we definitely took full advantage of it 🙂

Earlier last week, I tried out a new recipe from the Whole New Mom blog. This recipe is for homemade chicken nuggets and it turned out to be extremely easy and pretty delicious!

Ingredients needed:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Red pepper flakes and black pepper to taste (optional)

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees.

Start by cutting the chicken breast into small pieces (not so tiny that they get to be extra crispy but a little smaller than a normal chicken nugget). Place the cut chicken into a bowl and set aside.

In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, seasonings, and oil.

Pour the dry mixture on top of the chicken and stir lightly with your hands so that the chicken in evenly coated. Then place the pieces of coated chicken onto a baking pan and place in the oven.

Bake the chicken nuggets at 450 degrees for 12-14 minutes or until they reach 180 degrees. Let them cool a few minutes before serving with your favorite dipping sauce!
