This afternoon I’m sharing a brownie recipe I made this past week that turned out incredible! I’ve never made brownies from scratch before but my husband had been bugging for weeks to make some so I decided to try it out. He said they were the best brownies he has ever had 🙂
- 4 oz applesauce
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
As usual, I took out the butter and used applesauce in it’s place to save on the calories and it turned out amazing 🙂
First, you will need to preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Then, in a glass bowl, combine the applesauce, vanilla, and sugar until it’s nice and fluffy. Next, beat the eggs one at a time into the mixture.
In a second bowl, stir together the flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda. Add the flour mixture to the liquid mixture slowly and stir until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Grease an 8×8 pan and pour the brownie batter into the pan evenly. Bake for 25-27 minutes at 350 degrees. Let them cool for a few minutes then cut and serve. Enjoy this wonderful dessert 🙂
